Insight Global is seeking 5 Electrical Maintenance Technicians to support a large steel manufacturing client out of Lexington, NC. This candidate will be joining either the Melt Shop or the Rolling Mill teams, but must be comfortable joining either team.
The Lexington plant is being stood up and is expected to open in Q1 of 2025. Prior to the plant opening, the Electrical Maintenance Technician team will be working on-site to learn and understand all of the maintenance for the state-of-the-art equipment being installed. Once the plant opens the day-to-day will include troubleshooting and repairs, cooperating with and supporting operations, aggressively pursuing process improvement, assist with documentation and training for all equipment and other duties as assigned.
Prior to plant openings: Day Shift 6:30 am - 4:30 ish pm
Post-plant opening shifts:
Shifts: 4 on 4 off
- 4 days on - 12 hours shifts
- 4 days off
- 4 nights on - 12 hour shifts
- 4 days off
Alternating, one month 36 hours a week & one month 48 hours a week

Required Skills & Experience
- 4 years of experience working in industrial Electrical maintenance
- Demonstrated understanding of Power concepts, Automation technologies, motor controls, and basic hydraulic/mechanic understanding.
- Experience with PLCs
- Understanding of Robotics and radio frequency
- Associate degree in electrical or related field
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in Steel Mill electrical maintenance
- Siemens PLC experience
