An employer is looking to add an Electrical Lab Technician to their team in St. Louis. This person will join our client's Flight Simulation team and assist with building and supporting simulator environments for multiple aircraft. They will be responsible for the digital/video, crew stations, and computer systems for the simulators. They will support activities to plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies. They will be responsible for designing systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements. They will participate in test design and perform routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems. They will support the coordination of test requirements and assists in reviewing test methods and capabilities. They will facilitate systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post-test tear-down. They will conduct routine tests, analyze data and documents, as well as troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience with fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems and cable fabrication and utilizing production industry standards
5+ years in Engineering Lab Environment or comparable Military experience (crimping, splicing and terminating wires, cables and fiber optic cables)
5+ years' experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics
Active Secret Clearance
Comfortable working onsite 5 days/week

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working as a Firecontrol man for the Navy or an equivalent role
Experience working with flight simulation equipment
J-STD-001 solder certification
3+ years' experience working with Avionic equipment
3+ years' experience maintaining computer hardware
Experience working with MIL-STDs or military connectors
