Position Summary

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and execute lab test requests to test and validate new or current products, including Cartridge, Industrial, and Mobile Valves.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Collect and analyze test data, prepare reports summarizing test results, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of all testing conducted in the lab.
  • Perform inspections using metrological equipment.
  • Specify correct parts needed for test setups to perform tests.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

  • Required Skills:
    • Extensive knowledge of lab equipment and testing methodologies used in R&D environments.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics (Hydraulic and Electrical).
    • Ensure the lab is organized and safe, adhering to all safety protocols.
    • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
    • Ability to assemble and test products according to drawings and test specifications.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with engineers and team members.
    • Provide technical support and insights during project development.
    • Fabricate and assemble test setups and prototypes as required.
    • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
    • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, with the ability to think critically and implement effective solutions under pressure.
    • Proficiency with CAD drawing package software is a plus.
    • Ability to troubleshoot simple electrical circuits.
    • Programming experience such as PLC, LabView, Python is a plus.
    • Experience with data acquisition systems and software.
    Qualifications

    Physical Requirement
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment and materials.
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment with potential exposure to hydraulic fluids and machinery noise.
  • Comfortable wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Education Requirements:

    Applicant Must have a minimum 2-year technical degree, or minimum of 5 years' work equivalent experience in testing of electrohydraulic valves or equivalent hydraulic testing. Certificate from accredit school will be taken into consideration such as but not limited to NFPA Fluid Power certificate.

    Conditions of Employment
