Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Emergency Medical Science or related field from a regionally accredited college or university. Virginia Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Credential -VA Emergency Medical Services Education Coordinator (or available to obtain within two years of hire). One year of relevant field experience in Emergency Medical Science or closely related career field within the past five years. Secondary/Post-secondary teaching and/or professional training experience in Emergency Medical Science in any of the following formats: teaching courses, training sessions, conducting professional development workshops, and/or other continuing educational seminars.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Science or related field from a regionally accredited college or university. Virginia Paramedic Credential is preferred. Virginia Education Coordinator is preferred. American Heart Association Basic Life Support ( BLS ), Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS ), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support ( PALS ) instructor credentials are preferred. Greater than one year of relevant field experience in Emergency Medical Science or closely related career field. Community college teaching experience, to include experience with assessment of student learning outcomes. Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems is also preferred.
