Schedule: Full Time

Shift : Monday - Friday

Location: Chicago, IL (This position is open to be based in Kansas, Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina where AdventHealth has facilities)

The role you'll contribute:

The Employee Relations Supervisor is responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of the company's employee relations programs, policies, and procedures per AdventHealth guidelines. The employee relations supervisor will be responsible for providing guidance and support to team members and management by implementing strategies to enhance workplace productivity and harmonization. The supervisor is required to maintain a positive working relationship with department leaders, human resources partners, and employees. Identifies and analyzes issues and provides recommendations for resolutions to complex employee relations issues and processes. Will utilize technical tools and systems to provide data analysis, streamline processes, and optimize employee relations initiatives.

The supervisor will counsel and apply advanced knowledge to employee relations activities, model critical thinking for complex problems, lead, and demonstrate a high level of integrity and in-depth knowledge to ensure compliance with Company, state, and federal laws. The incumbent in this position is expected to exhibit a high degree of independent decision-making, judgment, and accountability.

  • Directly supervise assigned staff, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching on individual and team performance outcomes
  • Utilize technical tools and systems to create reporting, analytics, and team member data management to support human resources processes and initiatives.
  • Train and support employee relations policies, procedures, and technical systems.
  • Provide advice and guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices utilized at the department and companywide level.
  • Provide support on all aspects of employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, policy interpretation, and reporting and analytics.
  • Conduct investigations into team member concerns, ensuring investigations are executed with fairness, thoroughness, and confidentiality.
  • Assist with developing and implementing employee relations programs and initiatives that foster our Service Standards to enhance employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide support when opportunities for improvement in employee relations policies and practices are identified.
  • Monitor changes in relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Escalate appropriate requests to immediate leader as necessary
  • Lead special projects and all other reasonable duties as assigned


Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in employee relations or similar HR role.
  • Technical proficiency in HRIS, HCM or related software system
  • Proficiency in analyzing HR data and generating insight to drive decision making
  • Understanding of employment laws, regulations, and company policies..


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
  • Diversified experience in human resources field or in a generalist role
  • Three years' experience in customer service field, human resources preferred
