A well-established legal firm specializing in business law is seeking a skilled Employment Attorney to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity to work with a respected firm in Woodland Hills, CA, where you'll manage a diverse range of employment law cases, including employee hiring and termination, wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, and whistleblower retaliation. They are seeking candidates with at least 5 years of employment law experience who are strategic thinkers with high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills. Salary Range: $180,000 - $190,000 / year DOE

Employment Attorney Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in employment law
  • Experience with CRD hearings, EEOC, wage/hour claims, and PAGA
  • Proven ability to track and bill a minimum of 150 hours per month
  • Strong preference for candidates with defense-side experience
  • Willingness to try cases and pursue trial when needed (trial experience is preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word
  • Familiarity with document management and timekeeping systems, such as ProLaw
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with high emotional intelligence
  • Ethical, civil, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player

Employment Attorney Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of 15-40 employment law cases, balancing both complex and straightforward cases
  • Handle employee hiring, evaluation, discipline, and termination matters
  • Advise on wage and hour disputes, employee classification, and regulatory compliance
  • Represent clients in discrimination, harassment, whistleblower, and retaliation cases
  • Manage trade secrets, competitive information, and WARN Act-related matters
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
  • Willingness to take cases to trial, if necessary
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
