Join Our Team as an Engineer in Plastics and Recycling Inspection

Seeking an Engineer to join a prominent OEM in the inspection and detection industry, specializing in German-made equipment. Based near Hanover Park, IL, our US headquarters in Chicago offers a small family feel with a focus on growth and advancement. This position is due to retirement, open to mechanical, design, process, or electrical backgrounds. Ideal for recent grads to 1-2 years' experience, with a preference for someone with some plastics background.

Company has almost a 50 year rich history and is very innovative constantly expanding the machinery offerings and has cutting edge intelligent machines. Team is small you would be a team of 3 and the growth opportunities are amazing. Currently you would report to the US President of the company who is also an engineer by trade. This company also has been trending up in sales and growth the last two years which hasn't been the case for many OEM's in 2023 and 2024. Be a part of an exciting and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design custom machinery for pre and post sales
• Collaborate with sales teams on orders, approve drawings, and quotes
• Experience with Siemens and SAP is preferred
• Occasional travel to Germany for training; mainly an on-site role
• Little to zero travel
• Attention to detail and coachable
• Good communicator and problem solver
