Rappahannock Community College ( RCC ), founded in 1970, provides high-quality educational and training opportunities throughout a 12-county service region an hour east of Richmond on the beautiful western shore of the Chesapeake Bay with access to fresh local seafood and water activities. RCC’s annualized enrollment of 3,259 credit students and over 1,000 workforce and community development students are supported by over 120 full-time employees and 200 part-time/adjunct employees across two main campuses and four satellite sites.

RCC seeks applicants for adjunct instructors to teach Engineering courses such as Programmable Controllers I, Introduction to Fluid Power (Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Systems), Instrumentation I, and other engineering technology courses in the electrical fields. Teaching assignments and schedules will include evening on-campus assignments and online learning. The expectation is to teach students using various delivery systems, including interactive video, web, and other electronic media.

Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and considerable related occupational experience. Candidates should possess sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources. Candidates must be available to teach in the evening on the Glenns campus.
Additional Considerations
Teaching experience in the discipline.
Master’s Degree in an Engineering Field.
