As an engineering manager in analytics, you will help improve the App Store for both users and developers by generating insights from data in a privacy-friendly way. You will lead the team of world-class engineers to build a portfolio of analytical products, such as App Store Connect App Analytics, which deliver data and insights to Apple's developer partners.



Description
We seek an engineering manager to lead a team of data engineers that builds App Store analytical products used by Apple's developer partners. Under your leadership, the team will implement and maintain efficient data pipelines that process petabytes of App Store data to timely and accurate deliver analytics to app developers. In addition to foundational metrics, your team will build advanced analytical capabilities that help developers gain deep insights and optimize the performance of their apps. While focusing on the data engineering aspect, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners to collect the data from internal systems and Apple devices in a privacy-friendly way, design an engaging user interface, and implement APIs to deliver the data to external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Drive technical vision, strategy, and implementation of App Store external analytical products.

- Establish processes to ensure engineering excellence, high quality, reliability, and efficiency of analytical products.

- Lead a team of data engineers: hire, mentor, and manage performance.

- Review technical designs and code created by the team.

- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional leaders in engineering, product, and operations to design data collection, user interface, API, and reporting capabilities.

- Participate in privacy reviews to ensure that data collection and reporting satisfies strict privacy guidelines and legal requirements.

- Foster a healthy, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
