Engineering Project Specialist IV

Insight Global is looking for an Engineering Project Coordinator/Specialist. This person will be help coordinate and administer all engineering project activities, targeting a successful execution of the project. The main function of a project coordinator is to support project manager and project teams on a project. The coordinator ensures that no resources are being allocated to unnecessary tasks and that all aspects of the project are completed as quickly as possible. This role requires those who purchased, run budget, worked in / made part numbers, worked with electrical and mechanical engineering, and have experience working in building consumer hardware. The ideal candidate will be aware of how to purchase materials, know what a build plan is, has worked with hardware build and materials (not just oversee or supervised). This individual will work with awesome hardware alongside a great, supportive team, and training will be provided.
Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
* Establishes and assembles project teams, and coordinates activities
* Develops detailed work plans, project estimates, status reports, project tracking and analysis
* Performs economic and other analysis as required to achieve the best least cost
* Manages critical milestones throughout the project to ensure the best customer experience
Pay: $55/hr

Required Skills & Experience
* 3-5+ years of project management/engineering project specialist experience
* Experience with allocating and distributing devices
* Experience with build plans (tool)
* Experience in creating and tracking BOM (Bill of Materials) and Build Matrix by working with Engineering, TPMs and PLM team to complete design releases and CTB (Clear-To-Build) tracking.
* Strong Excel skills -- creating spreadsheets, pivot tables, and report gathering
* Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong cross-functional communication and interpersonal skills across time-zones and management of shifting priorities.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Team Center or Agile PLM is useful
