Expect them to be in code, writing code, reviewing code - troubleshooting log files, have their hands on a keyboard.
Need someone go all the way down, find the problem, march back up to a solution.
Performance review & mentorship occasionally less about managing people, more about managing solutions.
Mostly batch, back-end processing work, some APIs.

8+ years of experience within C/C++ development for web applications.
Leadership/mentorship experience.

Bachelors Degree.
Owns their own QA/testing.
