Entry Level Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our client's accounting and finance team as an Entry Level Accounts Receivable Clerk at their Beverage Company located in Phoenix, AZ. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in accounting and finance within the beverage industry. The Entry Level Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for supporting the accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy in billing, collections and customer account management.

Entry Level Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilities:

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to billing terms and contract agreements
• Record and reconcile customer payments received via various channels, including checks, credit cards and electronic transfers. Apply payments to customer accounts accurately and promptly
• Assist in monitoring accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past due invoices through phone calls, emails and written correspondence. Work collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records in the accounting system, including contact information, payment terms and credit limits. Address customer inquiries and requests regarding account balances, invoices and payment history
• Assist in conducting credit checks on new customers and evaluating creditworthiness based on credit reports, references and financial statements. Recommend credit limits and terms in accordance with company policies and risk management guidelines
• Prepare and distribute accounts receivable reports and analyses to management on a regular basis, providing insights into receivables performance, aging trends and collection efforts
• Maintain organized and complete documentation of all accounts receivable transactions, correspondence and communications for audit and reconciliation purposes

Entry Level Accounts Receivable Clerk Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 6+ months of experience in accounting focused role or Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
