Description
Environmental Engineer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc; Walnut Creek, CA): Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams and subject matter experts to produce high quality work products, such as work plans, study reports, and engineering designs. Exercise independent judgement to analyze Engineering issues and select methods to resolve problems associated with standard practice guidelines. Perform engineering calculations, prepare conceptual and detailed design drawings and specifications, and prepare planning and technical engineering reports. Evaluate treatment processes, develop alternatives to meet project requirements, and contribute to process improvements. Perform site visits, condition assessments, observe startup operations, and collected data and documentations regarding site conditions, process, and compliance with contract documents, including plans and specifications. Apply knowledge of engineering technologies, treatments processes, and design tools to complete water and wastewater infrastructure planning, designs, and construction support. Interact with client technical staff and present technical information to stakeholders. Inform and advise senior managers and technical leads regarding compliance status and issues, potential risks, and liabilities and recommend mitigating actions. Participate in engineering programs and industry organizations to keep up with industry trends and best practices. Support technical and cost proposal and change order development. Serve as engineer of record on own work products. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). The salary range is $138,590 - $155,100 per year. #GTM
Qualifications
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Utilizing water and wastewater treatment processes for infrastructure planning and design; life cycle of capture, treatment, use, recovery and reuse, and discharge alternatives for water and wastewater; Using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Geographic Information System (GIS) for data analysis and reporting; Preparing process designs for water and wastewater treatment plants (new and upgrades to existing plants) to meet treatment objectives; Regulatory compliance reporting for waste treatment and discharge; Leading multidisciplinary engineering teams to prepare conceptual and detailed designs for treatment trains; and Analyzing technical data to evaluate water quality and treatment process performance.
Must have U.S. PE license.
Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. up to 10 % is required.
