Job Summary:The Executive Director, Engineering-Base will be responsible for designing and implementing all IT infrastructure services for entire FH/MCW environment. The includes data centers, computing systems operating systems, databases, storage subsystems, backup/restore, virtualized systems, Citrix, end-user systems (PC, printer, etc), and software that is not functional specific (base layer Epic, email, data warehousing, etc). The IT Director will ensure the organization's enterprise operations and technology infrastructure is compliant, secure, efficient, user friendly and current.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

10 years or more experience in the infrastructure engineering. In-depth knowledge of IT operations with understanding of storage concepts, disaster recovery methodology, data backup and recovery, and Ciscos Unified communications. A minimum of five (5) years of senior manager/director level experience.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required.

• Proven ability to develop architecture and provide design oversight that incorporates high availability, automation, operations supportability and scalability to a high volume, rapidly growing world class healthcare business.
• Ability to work comfortably in varying levels of abstraction across business strategy, product strategy, high level technical design, detailed technical design and implementation.
• Ability to function effectively under pressure in environments of rapid change and conflicting demands and crisis management.

• Demonstrates continuous improvement, quality methodology and project/operations delivery skills.

• Strong leadership skills and demonstrates creative problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrates strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

• Ability to depict technical information conceptually, logically and physically.

• Excellent communication skills across all levels; ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to executive staff, business sponsors and technical resources in clear concise language that is the parlance of each group.

• Strong customer management and negotiation skills and the ability to mediate opposing viewpoints and articulate the advantages of a technology solution.

• Ability to manage a budget effectively and have solid contract management skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours and be accessible 24/7/365.

• Certification in at least one of the following: CCIE, CCIE-Collaboration, CCIE-Wireless and CCAr is preferred.
