Schedule: Full-Time/ Days (M-F) (40 hours weekly)
The role you'll contribute:
Palliative Care is focused on maximizing quality of life through the relief of symptoms during all stages of a serious illness. It is appropriate at any age and can be provided along with curative and life-prolonging treatment. Providers can help treat symptoms like pain, constipation, nausea, dyspnea and anxiety while also assisting in ensuring goals of care for patients and families align with medical treatment. Palliative Care is vital to our healthcare system by helping patients and families understand treatment plans. Consistent with AdventHealth's goal of caring for patients mind, body, and spirit; palliative care assists our patients to live as fully and comfortably with possible life limiting or terminal illnesses.

The Executive Medical Director is responsible for providing direction for the development and clinical performance of the Palliative Medicine Program ("Program") and advise AdventHealth Campuses located with Central Florida Division ("Hospital") on all operational and professional matters relating to the role and function of this position.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
• Medical Degree (MD or DO)
• Fellowship in Palliative Care
• Board Certification in hospice and palliative medicine; American Board of Family Medicine certified
• Medical, other state/government licensure
• DEA License
