Johnson and Johnson is recruiting for an External Manufacturing Senior Manager to be located in Irvine, CA.

Reporting to the Director External Manufacturing, J&J Vision, the External Manufacturing (EM) Sr. Manager will function as the general manager for third party contract manufacturing sites. The Manager will be accountable for leading all aspects of vendors relationship to deliver reliable product supply at the most efficient cost while meeting or exceeding all customer service, compliance, and product(s) requirements.

This role includes responsibilities for Intra Ocular Lenses, Cataract, Refractive, Ocular Surface & Dry Eye, Consumer Eye Health, and Contact Lens product platforms including secondary packaging operations, leading end to end supply chain processes for accessories, consumables, disposable, over the counter chemical formulations, electromechanical assembly finished good medical device products.

Products in this portfolio include global, regional, and country specific vendors requiring strong collaboration with all functions that constitute the Supplier Relationship Team, end to end supply chain platform and product life-cycle management teams, and other functions as needed, per current operating system governance process.

The Manager will be accountable for the development and deployment of strong Make capabilities in all aspects of the operations crafting, influencing, and following applicable Governance processes and standard methodologies, to ensure that products meet quality and compliance standards, are available to customers as needed and deliver the right value to both our customers and the business.

Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a Supply Chain field or related field.

• An advanced degree, such as an MBA is preferred. Minimum experience (number of month/years and type of work experience beyond formal education) required for proficient performance:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in any combination of the following related areas: Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing and Distribution, Quality.

• A minimum of 6 years of people management experience with proven success in performance management and development is preferred.

• Strong project management skills and any combination of operations management, negotiation, financial or analytical skills are required.

• Work optimally and drive alignment in a local, regional, and global management environment across various functions and leadership levels through effective communication, teamwork, and influence.

• Lead a remote team of professionals (direct or indirect) located in various facilities and countries.

• Proven understanding of cGMPs is required, with additional experience in Medical devices and Pharmaceuticals' preferred.

• Prior experience in managing suppliers, contracts negotiation and working on supplier agreements is strongly preferred. Prior knowledge of Advanced planning systems such as ERP, MRP, and SAP is preferred.

• Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification is preferred.

• This role requires a 25% domestic/international travel.

• This role requires a minimum of 2 days on site.

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is 118,000 to 203,550.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
