Are you ready to go beyond

The F117 engine fleet conists of 1,000 + engines in service supporting C-17 aircraft operations around the globe. Each year 130-150 F117 engines are overhauled by P&Ws F117 program management team, in accordance with our Air Force contract. Engine overhauls occur in 3 locations: Columbus Georgia Engine Center, Tinker Air Force Base Oklahoma, and at United Airlines facility in San Francisco. The F117 Logistics Manager in San Francisco is responsible for all aspects of P&W interface with United Airlines F117 engine shop, as well as the on-site P&W team.

Key responsibilities include:

(1) ensuring successful achievement of all program requirements and metrics (2) leading and growing the capability of the P&W team on-site responsible for material management, repair management, and rotable inventory management (3) technical support, internal/external and customer communication

(4) ensuring support of United Airlines engine production plans

(5) managing program assets in order to achieve spare engine/module level requirements and optimized Time On Wing

(6) fostering a strong continuous improvement culture to improve fleet management systems and processes to minimize cost while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

(7) develop and maintain a close business relationship with the depot at a senior leadership level; maintain an understanding of the depots business objectives and manage to closure impact to F117 program business objectives.

This role offers the autonomy and responsibility to directly impact the F117 program, at our highest volume depot. The chosen candidate must have demonstrated the ability to build collaborative relationships with suppliers, solve complex business/processes challenges efficiently and effectively, and have demonstrated process improvement leadership to meet program expectations.

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, related technical field, or Management. Master Degree in related field preferred

Experience:

-10-12 years in Engine MRO / Logistics support.

-Engine overhaul and repair, and material management experience.

-Working knowledge of aircraft engine/component overhaul & repair.

-Strong technical understanding of propulsion systems and their components.

-Strong relationship building skills.

-Individual must utilize organizational, teaming, interpersonal and communication skills in relating directly with UAL and Boeing supplier.

-Secret clearance and/or ability to obtain a secret clearance is required.

6 sigma, LEAN, or ACE experience/training

This position is full-time onsite at United Airlines facility in San Francisco.
