Position Details:
Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Remote - ideally based in Chicago, Seattle or Houston
Schedule: Monday - Friday days (occasional nights and weekends, as may be required)
Compensation: $90k - $110k base salary, plus equity stock units

Travel: 80% travel to customer sites in the U.S. (typically fly to site on Monday, return Friday)
Position Description: Field Service Engineers are responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer focused installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, service and repair of company electrolyzers at customer sites. Field Service Engineers reports to the Director of U.S. Field Services.
• Achieve successful on-site installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of company products according to plan specifications
• Assist in successful on-site product start-up to include site acceptance tests and commissioning
• Troubleshoot and solve problems to help meet and improve product unit performance standard
• Act as an effective liaison between the customer and company engineering, compliance, manufacturing, and sales teams
• Conduct on-site training and instruction as required by the customer related to operations, troubleshooting and maintenance of company products, as required
• Conduct close out meetings with customers after each field service visit
• Continuously track performance metrics and deviations and link each to the corrective action process
• Support in managing and forecasting department budget, project budget, schedule, and risks
• Support hazard and operability study development and participate in product, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) design reviews (HAZOP)
• Prepare status reports and effectively communicate with all stakeholders to ensure alignment on schedules, milestones, risks, and opportunities

Requirements:
• Associate's of Science or technical certification in an electrical or mechanical field (or equivalent military training), Bachelor's degree in technology or engineering, or a combination of education, training, and experience
• At least 6 years in field service, engineering, or military experience in a related field
• Exceptional troubleshooting expertise with complex systems
• Strong communication skills and customer skills
• Safety-focused, integrity, attention to detail, initiative - operate independently, and know when to ask for help
• Preferred prior experience with:
• High power and high-pressure systems
• Fuel cell operation
• Troubleshooting and repairing distributed control or programmable logic controller systems to include hardware installation and operation
• 3-phase UPS systems is highly beneficial
• Working safely with fuels such as natural gas, propane, and hydrogen
