Field Technician

Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is partnered with a local mechanical shop that is in need of Service Mechanics to work on electrical motors and machinery. Great opportunity with a well established company in the Camp Hill area. Position does require travel throughout Central/South PA and surrounding states.

Job Title - Field Service Mechanic

Pay Rate - $20-$35/hour

Location: Shop is location in Camp Hill, PA 17011

** This is a field tech position! Will be traveling throughout Central PA mostly. Possibility of working out of state (New York, Maryland, West Virginia and surrounding states around PA).
Candidate could be working at a project where they would stay overnight (hotel and per diem would be included) but could be gone as long as 2 weeks in some instances. Doesn't happen often but is a possibility.
Shift- 7am-4pm (hours could vary based on job)

3 most important things client needs this person to have- Reliable, Electrical Experience/Mechanical experience, Valid Drivers license and personal vehicle.
Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Understand and follow all Safety processes and procedures including the use of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Read and understand job work orders to determine job status, work authorization/limitations, estimate, description of problems and/or work scope.
• Complete required documentation for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
• Have the capability to work alone, as crew member, or as crew leader; Ability to work well with others in a team effort.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair AC and DC motors, generators, gear reducers, gear boxes, pumps, and numerous types of industrial equipment.
• Rigging of AC and DC motors, generators, gear reducers, gear boxes, pumps, and numerous types of industrial equipment of various weights and sizes.
• Maintain assigned truck and service equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Perform special projects, including large and/or special shop jobs
• Ability to understand, perform and retain various job-related training and operational and safety procedures.
• Ensure customer expectations are met and questions addressed.
• Ability to travel and stay overnight on occasional assignments.
• Perform all other duties or functions as assigned by the department manager.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
