The Role

The Field Services Technician will install, monitor, maintain, and repair all switching andor non-switched circuit equipment and associated transmission equipment for the provisioning of telecommunication services.

The Main Responsibilities

• Analyzes locate tickets in a production environment, with minimal supervision, to manage regional responsibilities in assigned geography.
• Works with field for assigned geography to ensure dig site coverage
• Dispatches tickets within priority guidelines and adheres to Cable Protection Operation metrics
• Learns and uses various software to perform additional tasks involved with the daily operations
• Responds to Returned or Re-Opened request tickets by troubleshooting issues from company one call centers, requests from excavators homeowners, and other stakeholders within the company
• Reviews excavation activity tickets to identify if the dig site is clear or if a conflict exists based on locate instructions and in relation to company fiber in company systems. If clear, then closes ticket and if in conflict then works with field to successfully dispatch the ticket to ensure protection of facilities.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$53,625 - $89,375 in these states: CA

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
