Job Duties

The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as a Finance Process and Policy Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to Strategy and Performance Manager.

• Oversee and improve finance and accounting process.

• Analyze current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and develop strategies to optimize process workflow and performance.

• Responsible for creation, update, and management of all finance and accounting internal regulations, such as policies, work
procedures, SOPs, etc.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and develop strategies to provide training and notification of process and policy changes.

• Manage and support projects in the Strategy and Performance Management group, responsible for the planning, execution,
monitoring, controlling and closing of projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:

Strong organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience drafting, revising, and understanding policies and regulations and how they impact the organization.

Process improvement Certification such as Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

Project management experience. Project Management Certification is a plus.

Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and process mapping software and Visio.
