What you will do:
  • Manages the administration of $65 million in federal grants per year that support the Abandoned Mine Land, Coal Regulatory and the Mine Safety programs.
  • Assists program managers with grant budget development, completes federal forms and submits grant applications .
  • Supervises fiscal staff who performs grant work to include monthly, quarterly and annual reporting; grant draws ; coding reviews, grant close-outs and tra cking of federal equipment .
  • S upervises grants staff and interacts with federal counterparts at the Department of Interior and Department of Labor.
  • Acts as assistant to the Business Administrator 3 in the management of the fiscal & business operations of the division including accounts payable and receivable, budgets, cash management , custodial account, purchasing , fleet and asset management.
  • Starting hourly pay of $37.53/ hr with multiple pay increases over your first 8 years of service, with an end salary of $53.58 /hr.

Qualifications

- 54 months of experience or 54 months of training in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.

- OR completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field AND 30 months of experience or 30 months of training in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.

- OR completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field AND 18 months of experience or 18 months of training in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.

- OR 12 months of experience as Senior Financial Analyst, 66563.

- OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
