The Financial Planning Practice Management (FPPM) team serves as a conduit between the Field Financial Planning Group, National Sales and Field Training organizations, and the Sales/Financial Advisor/Sales Support Professional population in general. The team plays an integral part in the firm's overall strategy for driving adoption of Financial Planning and the delivery of a consistent Morgan Stanley Client Experience by Financial Advisors and their teams. The FPPM team accomplishes this through the establishment of relationships with field management, the development and execution of national training and communication programs and ensuring consistent messaging across internal and external stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities Include:

• Work closely with the Financial Planning Product team, Regional Planning Managers and Financial Planning Directors, and centralized Financial Planning Support teams to:

o develop and deliver timely and consistent financial planning messaging to support Firm objectives, changes in the regulatory environment and updates/enhancements to platform

o evaluate and identify training and education needs for both field and internal partners and take lead in the development and deployment of new and updated materials and resource

o act as a conduit between the field and the product team to provide feedback regarding the Wealth Management platforms and associated messaging to help identify enhancement opportunities, as well as new training materials and program need

• Partner with the FAA Sourcing and Development Program Management team to:

o develop and maintain training curriculum to support the onboarding and continuing education of Financial Planning Director

o design and deliver onboarding and training programs for new Financial Advisor programs, including Financial Advisor Associates, Financial Planning Analysts and Morgan Stanley Virtual Advisor

• Provide national training support to larger groups of Financial Advisors and Sales Support Professionals through live, web-based training programs on the functional aspects of all financial planning and associated Wealth Management platform

• Provide one-on-one support to Financial Advisors and Sales Support Professionals, including coaching on financial planning modeling techniques, developing recommendations for client and prospect presentations and identifying client opportunitie

• Provide in-person support, when needed, for national and regional Wealth Management event

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required

• Minimum of 5 years' financial services industry experience and 3 years' experience with financial planning software application

• Advanced financial planning content knowledge

• CFP/CPWA or comparable designation a plu

• Series 7 and 66

• Previous experience developing and conducting training

• Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and handle multiple prioritie

• Ability to interact effectively with Financial Advisors and Sales Management

• Excellent communication skills with ability to teach and coach other

• Effective problem solver

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
