This posting will be used for 30 days to conduct ongoing recruitment and will remain open until the position and/or positions have been filled. Facility is at Community Based Services (CBS).

Why does the job exist?

Incumbent will be responsible for conducting financial intakes of qualified clients and ensure the accurate and timely compilation and data entry of financial data from respective clients for billable services, while auditing billable codes and reconciliation of billable services and insurance coverage for accuracy prior to submission for reimbursement for Community Base Services (CBS).

How does it get done?

Incumbent will compute and verify services and billable charges and discounts based on qualified income and the Income Sliding Fee Scale for approximately 1700 individual services provided monthly. Enter compiled financial information for each client onto the AVATAR Financial System and process through the Behavioral Health State Funding {BHSD) System for billable services of
prescriber, providers, etc. Route and/or submit client financial information and billable services to reimbursement weekly for accounts receivable and maintain authorization process for private insurances and other payer sources to ensure reimbursement of collectible revenues.

Ideal Candidate

Ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with insurances, co-pays, deductibles;
Experience working with billing;
Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook;
Experience performing clerical and financial duties.

Minimum Qualification

High School diploma or Equivalency and one (1) year experience in bookkeeping, accounting and/or finance. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's license.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer to include working with computers, faxes, copiers and printers, and phone usage with extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, kneeling and crawling. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Some travel may be required.
