Job Description

This position will provide functional and technical support for the Financial Aid and Bursar offices, including assistance with setup, reporting, testing, and website maintenance.

Duties:
  • Aid Year Setup - Assists with the completion of required annual and term-based setup for the Financial Aid and Bursar offices within the ERP system based upon institutional, state and federal rules, including but not limited to; budgeting, packaging, and disbursement rules; tuition and fees; 1098Ts and Warrant Intercept. Schedules and maintains recurring processes for Student Financial Services, including but not limited to: Financial Aid master job set, Bursar Financial Responsibility Agreement, and schedule queries for both offices.
  • Reporting - Contributing to the growing demand for ad-hoc, monthly, term and annual reporting needed by university departments/colleges and federal/state agencies.
  • Website Maintenance - Maintains Financial Aid and Bursar's Office website. Updates and maintains annual published cost/budget sheets for Financial Aid and Bursar's Office websites.
  • PUM-PRP Testing - Coordinates testing for the Campus Solutions ERP system patches, upgrades and maintenance for Student Financial Services.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.


Job Requirements

Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, AND:
  • 36 months experience in system analysis, database management or financial management

Preferred: 12 months experience in Higher Education

Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally an in writing.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and provide complex annual reports, statements and/or projections.
  • Knowledge of a range of automated financial systems and applications software.
  • Database management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide responsible, timely, and detailed status or progress and expectations.

Working Conditions:
