About the Role:
As a Fire & Life Safety Sr. Manager, you will be in charge of overseeing the Fire & Life Safety (FLS) program for a client with a commercial and retail portfolio.
This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.

About the Role:
As a Fire & Life Safety Sr. Manager, you will be in charge of overseeing the Fire & Life Safety (FLS) program for a client with a commercial and retail portfolio.
This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.
What You'll Do:
- Manages FLS programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and needs of a client account. Evaluates new and existing programs to assess suitability and the need for changes.
- Monitors fire incidents in the specified region for the account. Monitors performance for trends or other indicators of improving or degrading incident performance and develops and implements strategic solutions that will improve the performance results as required.
- Oversees, creates and modifies as necessary, plans, playbooks, and procedures for the account, market area, or assigned area of responsibility. Ensures information is current, complete and effectively implemented.
- Monitors FLS regulatory compliance within the account, market area, or assigned area of responsibility. Communicates all findings, concerns, and deficiencies to the responsible managers to effect timely and necessary corrections. Assist in the development and implementation of strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to improve and maintain compliance as required.
- Promotes fire and life safety consciousness among employees by providing accurate and informative data, conducting safety meetings, giving timely feedback, on safety suggestions and visibly supporting the safety program(s).
- Acts as a resource to staff and employees as an FLS subject matter expert. Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience managing fire warden programs preferred.
- Additional certifications as required by local authority.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
