Position Description:

Within the Fixed Income Securitized Product Lending group, the Syndication team is currently seeking a VP or ED to further build out and grow the syndication platform, taking on responsibilities across deal execution, client relationships and internal coordination. The entire array of the Fixed Income Securitized Products Lending group includes 4 broader asset classes - ABS (Consumer, Transportation, Esoterics), corporate credit (capital call subscription lines, middle market, BSL CLO), commercial real estate (both direct lending and warehouse), and residential real estate (single family rental, non-agency, agency). This role also covers the distribution from our Securitized Products Capital Markets Loan Solutions team, our bank advisory team. On the deal execution side, this role requires deep structural knowledge of the full asset class suite in addition to relative value across potential public side investments, and in various formats including warehouse lending, outright portfolio sales, Synthetic Risk Transfers or capital efficient structures such as repacks. This role also involves building and maintaining relationships with numerous clients, while understanding and communicating our credit view on specific opportunities or on the platform overall as we look for these partners to join MS to lend more programmatically over time. On the internal coordination front, this includes working with the FID salesforce and the broader ISG channels (IBD, GCM) in engaging potential syndication partners. There is constant coordination and teamwork involved with the Lending, Capital Markets and Structuring teams. Experience in origination, syndication or structuring of senior secured loans is specifically required. Other backgrounds with experience in Securitized Products or lending are welcome to apply.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Leading outreach and pitches to all syndicate lenders; Broad understanding of all asset classes and structural nuances:

o Summarize and communicate key points to syndicate lenders during initial reviews to loan document negotiation proce

o Drive syndication execution by managing potential lender feedback and distributing updates to appropriate team

o Pitch key factors within the deal to gain and keep demand within the 8-10 week proce

- Managing and sourcing client inquiry across origination and syndication:

o Understanding and managing multiple relationships throughout each deal process in a highly organized manner

o Coordinating with various salesforces to proactively help source and distribute risk

o Maintaining internal connectivity with other groups like FID Sales and Trading, Global Capital Markets, Market Risk, Operations, etc.

- Lead with creativity for the team to create marketing materials and internal presentations:

o Oversee the compiling of unique client pitch books to assist in securing deals and providing marketing materials showcasing our key differentiating capabilitie

o Oversee the preparing materials for internal meetings with senior management, reoccurring update meetings with internal coverage channels and periodic account reviews across all ISG

o Presenting market and client updates at weekly internal meeting

- Additional responsibilities would include:

o Identify areas of operational inefficiency and proactively implement improvement

o Managing several projects at once across multiple asset classes; keeping the team on track with deliverable

Socializing and educating internal groups as the business grow

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000 - $250,000 per year for VP and between $225,000 - $300,000 per year for ED at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
