We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Valor Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort, and a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor as part of the DARPA SPRINT program. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and designing upgrade kits for the legacy fleet.

What you need to be successful:

We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate. You'll need a Bachelor's degree with a Major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.

Skills you bring to this role:

  • Two or more years experience in software development utilizing a Real-time operating system (RTOS) or an embedded software environment
  • C/C++ code development tools, creation of system and software architecture, and Model Based Software Design using MathWorks MATLAB & Simulink toolsets.
  • Experience with derivation of system, software, and component level requirements, hardware/software integration, and system level verification/validation.
  • Supplier development oversight, including verification/validation.
  • Familiarity with RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, SAE ARP4761, AMACC, 14 CFR Part 27 and Part 29 for commercial and military qualification and certification of aircraft software or systems.
  • Network design principles: A solid understanding of network design principles (preferred)
  • Network protocols: Proficiency in network protocols, such as TCP/IP, subnetting, and VLAN configurations (preferred)
  • Network security: Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies to protect networks (preferred)
