SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Performs routine duties related to serving food and beverages, as well as clearing dishes and cleaning. May operate dishwasher or assist with washing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc. Collects and disposes of garbage left at tables. May assist with stocking food inventory and with light cooking.

10a - 6:30p Sat/Sun
All job flows are subject to change, and any/all employees may be asked to perform additional duties as needed. Your schedule is not guaranteed to be the same every week, so check your schedule weekly.
Daily Expectations
► Arrive to work on time and in complete neatly pressed/unwrinkled uniform, including: Hat or hairnet with all hair properly restrained, clean apron on, and clearly visible ID badge. If you need to wear a long sleeve shirt, it must be solid black or white and must be worn under your uniform shirt. No coats or jackets unless it is a CCHMC logoed jacket.
► Arrive ready to focus on customer's/guest's needs while providing excellent customer service, limiting conversations with coworkers in front of customers/guests.
► Follow CARES Promise behaviors, including: Greet, smile and say thank you - greet every customer with a friendly smile - always using please and thank you in your conversations.
► No personal items in work area. Purses, book bags, fanny packs etc. are not allowed in the work area and cannot be worn or kept at the work station.
► You may have a beverage with a lid UNDER your work station.
► None of the following is allowed...
a. Artificial nails.
b. Facial piercings - may have a tiny nose STUD only - no hoops.
c. Earrings larger than a quarter - they must be under a hairnet
d. Bracelets, watches, fit-bits etc. (Exception is medical bracelet)
e. Gum Chewing
f. Headphones or earbud
g. Cell phone usage while working
► If you need to leave your work station, you must notify the coordinator or the retail manager on duty. This includes your 30 minute break.
All Cleaning assignments and closing procedures must be completed daily
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Dutie
Under the direct supervision of management, this position sets up, works, and cleans respective positions of the patient tray line, dish machine, pots & pans, and cafeteria. This position may deliver patient trays, and practices safe and sanitary habits while performing all assigned activities according to established standards. Maintain a clean environment for our patients, visitors, and employees. This position performs numerous activities that require interaction with co-workers and guests, must function as a team player, and provide prompt, courteous service that exemplifies our commitment to service excellence.
• Operation
Assures that proper food handling, temperature readings, and sanitation procedures are followed. Maintains excellent customer service, while meeting our guests' requests. Dish room staff is to retrieve dirty trays, clean all dishes to prepare for use, empty trash, and take trash carts to dumpster
• Sanitation and Conservation
Complete required HACCP logs. Handle food in a sanitary manner; maintain food at temperatures above 140 or below 41 degrees. Dish Machine log and Sanitizer log is to be completed to meet Board of Health and Department standards.
• Customer Service
Demonstrate effective customer service to fellow employees, customers, managers and visitors. Follow CARES standards at all times. Performs other duties s assigned.
• Safety
Maintain safety program within the department. Ensure safety concerns are reported appropriately.
