This position in the AWS Developer Experience team presents a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help shape the product experience of a new service for developers. A successful candidate will bring technical and software expertise, desire to have an industry wide impact, and ability to work within a fast moving team to rapidly deliver services that have a broad business impact.

Key job responsibilities

- Work closely with UX designers and product managers to develop friendly UI experiences.

- Work closely with other engineers to architect and develop the best technical design.

- Develop/maintain operational rigor for the frontend of a new AWS service.

- Own and deliver key features within a new interactive developer focused experience

- Collaborate with other AWS SDEs for features that cut across AWS.

- Engage with customers and other AWS partners.

- Optimize performance, accessibility, and maintainability of the platform's front-end components

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

- 2+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of agile software development methodology experience

- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
