GCP Data Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a GCP Data Engineer to join a large automotive client. In this role you will be working with the clients customers to ensure that they are leveraging the Data Platform efficiently and effectively. You will partner with the Data Platform team to ensure that their data products are as valuable and useable as possible.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements
Ensure data integrity and quality across all data platforms
Optimize data processing workflows for performance and cost
Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and system performance
Document data processes and systems for cross-functional teams

$62/hr to $72/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience as a GCP Data Engineer or similar
Strong experience working within a cloud-based environment (GCP is ideal)
CI/CD experience
Familiarity with python, go or java
Experience with SQL, No-SQL and Postgres
Experience with data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake
Familiarity with ETL tools and processes
Understanding of data security best practices
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and other monitoring tools
o Grafana Cloud, Dynatrace, New Relic, ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Sensu, Nagios, Kafka, DataDog, PagerDuty
