Position Summary

The Tax Manager, Global Provisions will manage the quarterly and annual tax provision including estimated annualized tax rate, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, tax controls, and other tax accounting tasks. The role is approximately 80% tax accounting and tax reporting, and 20% tax research/planning.

• Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

• Assist with overseeing the global provision process and consolidation.
• Manage the quarterly and annual income tax provision (ASC 740) calculations, disclosures, and provide appropriate SEC disclosures.
• Collaborate and partner with Regional Tax Managers in relation to quarterly and annual income tax provision and the global consolidation process.
• Collaborate with Regional Tax Managers in the preparation of the tax returns.
• Prepare and collaborate with regional managers on tax basis balance sheets and return to provision (RTP).
• Effectively team with U.S and international managers to ensure appropriate accounting is applied with respect to uncertain tax positions, ongoing tax audits and other controversies including maintaining/reviewing adequate documentation.
• Prepare responses to financial statement auditor requests Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement with the provision and compliance process, especially with respect to utilization of technology.
• Review and confirm quarterly tax account reconciliations.
• Research tax accounting issues and document company position and impact.
• Manage SOX compliance and improve upon processes and internal controls Assist with internal and external reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, and liquidations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field.
• Minimum seven (7) years of corporate and/or public tax experience with emphasis on global ASC 740 preparation, audit, and consolidation.
• Minimum three (3) years of prior leadership experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with preparation or audit of income tax provision for publicly traded multinational company.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with OneSource Tax Provision software or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with tax footnote and 10K disclosure preparation.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a global and cross-functional environment.
• Strong research, communications, and organizational skills.
• Complete knowledge of Microsoft Office.

DESIRED

• Masters in taxation (or equivalent).
• CPA or CPA candidate (or equivalent).
• Public accounting background, corporate tax, or a mix of both.
• Experience with withholding tax, deemed profit tax, and alternative tax regimes.
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft ERP System.
• An understanding of purchase accounting (book and tax), accounting and tax FX gain/loss calculations and fixed asset depreciation.
• Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI, PowerQuery, Tableau, and UiPath.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
