Scope of Job

The Graduate Student Assistant will support the finance team in various tasks related to financial recordkeeping, reporting, and general support to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

• Assist with reconciliation-related activities.
• Assist with various tracking activities and reports.
• Assist with electronic filing systems and maintenance.
• Assist with overview balance requests from departments.
• Assist with the preparation of financial documents.
• Assist with following up on various workflows.
• Respond and interact with college departments and other university units promptly and professionally.
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, printing, scanning, organizing documents, etc., to support the finance team's smooth operations.
• Assist with other projects as needed.
• Attend university training and learn the required workflows, the PeopleSoft platform, etc. to complete tasks.
• Assist with front-office support as needed.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

1. Currently admitted to the Graduate School;
2. Be in good academic standing;
3. Be registered full-time for the respective semester (9 semester credit hours during the fall semester, 9 semester credit hours during spring semester, 6 semester credit hours during the summer session(s)), or in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements on the degree plan.
