Graphics Software Engineer, Systems - Reality Labs Responsibilities


  • Develop graphics frameworks, algorithms and features to increase conformance and performance of the graphics software stack

  • Write high-quality, performant, and maintainable code

  • Develop unit-level and end-to-end tests to enhance coverage of the graphics stack

  • Build tools for capturing and analyzing the conformance and performance of graphics APIs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative features to the graphics stack for future products


Minimum Qualifications


  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

  • 2+ years of graphics software engineering experience

  • 2+ years of experience with C/C++ programming

  • 2+ years of object-oriented and component-based design experience

  • Problem-solving and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with graphics APIs (Vulkan, Direct3D, OpenGL, etc.)

  • Experience with shader languages (HLSL/GLSL) and shader development including performance and power optimizations in the hardware.

  • Experience with low level performance profiling and optimization

  • Experience with graphics debugging/performance analysis tools such as RenderDoc, Nsight, RGP, GPA, Snapdragon Profiler

  • Experience implementing or working with graphics abstraction layers in game engines such as Unreal/Unity
