Guntersville City - Grounds Support Position

Position: Grounds Support

Location: System-wide

Length of Contract: 12 Month Contract / 240 Days

Pay Grade: Salary Schedule Pay Type: Salary - Non-Exempt Retirement: RSA

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Salary: Board approved salary schedule

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED preferred; Skills commensurate with activities required:
Must undergo background clearance; and other alternatives as the Board may deem necessary.

JOB DUTIES: Operating tractor, zero turn mowers, various other lawn equipment used in maintaining lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf and irrigation. Fertilizing and other treatments to lawns, turf, trees, flowers and shrubs and spreading mulch. Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs and preventing and eliminating weeds. Other duties as assigned.

• Maintains regular and appropriate attendance and is on time for assignments.
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
