Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate existing asset management process and the design, implementation, and management of new/improved systems for efficiency and effectiveness starting from procurement till disposal.
  2. Governing HAM processes starting from procurement till disposal across Global
  3. Define scope of the asset management processes, function, the items that are to be controlled, and the information that is to be recorded.
  4. Ensure asset management standards and procedures are being followed.
  5. Ensure assets are uniquely identified with naming conventions; ensure compliance with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, life cycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases, and templates
  6. Propose interfaces with organizational change, problem management, network management, release management, finance, and administration functions
  7. Provides report, including management reports.
  8. Liaise with the Field services, Procurement POC's , Hands and feet teams to ensure the data accuracy.
  9. Asset Baseline
  10. Leading Operation (Planning, Designing and Forecasting)
  11. Process Assessment on existing process and provide Gap analysis report.
  12. Data maturity Assessment on HAM Data
  13. Tools Assessment and Process implementation.
  14. Create HAM flow diagrams and process definition.
  15. Implementation Approach
  16. Asset Data base line and Reporting
  17. Leadin hardware movements, Reconcile authorized assets against deployed assets, Schedule and run reconciliation and Review the results of the reconciliation process
  18. Handling contracts- Identify assets associated with a contract, Lead the asset collection and return processes
  19. Auditing - Prepare reports based on the asset repository data, Perform physical hardware inventory and Compare results
  20. Handling hardware end-of-lease- Identify the hardware whose warranty/lease is expiring, handle the return of those assets to vendor, Update asset records.
  21. Execute hardware refresh and disposal processes - Identify the hardware to be disposed of or refreshed, Handle the disposal or refreshment process and Update asset records
  22. Clear understanding of correlation between AMDB & CMDB in a ITSM environment.
  23. EOL Debt report creation for Asset and discuss the plan for refresh and update the dependency for refresh
Qualifications:
  1. Any Degree with a mix of technical and management background
  2. 10-14 Years of work experience in IT asset management
  3. ITIL 4 foundation certified (Good to Have)
  4. ITAM tool knowledge (ServiceNow)
  5. Certified/IAITAM/ Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional/Procurement) - Nice to have

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
