Job Title: Health Economics Manager (Florida PACE Centers)

Job Summary

Florida PACE Centers is seeking a dynamic and analytical Health Economics Manager to join our innovative team. Reporting to the AVP of Finance, the Health Economics Manager will be responsible for projecting the impact of healthcare initiatives, tracking savings, and monitoring progress toward financial goals. This role involves extensive data analysis, collaboration with various departments, and the development of sophisticated analytical tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health economics, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

Essential Job Functions

  • Establish and lead the denials function, helping Florida PACE Centers operate as a payor by denying claims, and working with clinical teams to determine necessary treatments and interventions.
  • Create and implement sophisticated analytical tools for evaluating revenue, profitability, and productivity metrics, maintaining, and improving monthly reporting suites for C-level insights.
  • Work with various stakeholders to initiate and implement initiatives aimed at reducing the cost of care and improving the quality of services.
  • Act as the primary liaison between operations, clinical, and finance teams, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and informed decision-making.
  • Conduct detailed economic evaluations of healthcare initiatives, projecting financial impact and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report on savings generated by healthcare initiatives, tracking progress toward financial and operational goals.
  • Act as SME for Population Health tool "Bridge". Providing training and guidance for users in addition to ensuring it supports data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Present complex financial and economic information to various stakeholders, including senior management and the board of directors, clearly articulating the financial implications of health economics findings.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager to integrate health economic analysis into financial planning and budgeting processes and assist in the preparation of pro-formas for new projects and ventures.
  • Provide training and support to team members on health economic analysis and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.


Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Public Health or related field.
  • Master's in finance, Economics or Public Health preferred


Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in Health Care preferably PACE or Managed Care organization or payor.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk-based contract.

Abilities Required

  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAS, SQL or Python
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Good communication stills
  • Essential to have people skills to always maintain highest level of professionalism
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish reading, writing, and speaking in a professional manner.
