RemX is looking for experienced Health Information Services Specialist. This position will be fully onsite in Birmingham, AL. This position will be responsible for assisting walk-in patients, answering phones, accuracy and confidentiality of medical information, faxes, burning images to CDs, etc.
  • Title: HIS - Health Information Services
  • Employment Type: Contract | Potential for permanent based on performance and business needs.
  • Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 an hour (based on experience, decided upon offer, Team Lead experience will be needed for higher pay)
  • Schedule: M - F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Location: ONSITE | Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities:
  • Assist walk-in patients
  • Answer phones, faxes, emails
  • Data Entry/Logging Medical Requests
  • Handling Release of Information
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of patient information

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical administrative environment. REQUIRED
  • Experience and knowledge on ROI (Release of Information) REQUIRED
  • Experience working with multiple systems on multiple screens REQUIRED
  • Experience with EPIC systems highly preferred
