Health & Physical Education Teacher (2020-21 School Year)

General Statement of Duties

The selected candidate will use and evaluate instructional materials and resources, including technology, that supports the curriculum of Health and Physical Education.

Essential Duties

• Delivers the curriculum established by the Henrico County School Board and administration
• Plans daily instructional activities for all students
• Assesses and maintains records of students' progress toward reaching goals set by the administration
• Alters instruction to meet group and individual needs as noted by assessment results
• Communicates with parents, students, and personnel in the division of instruction

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a valid professional teaching certificate are required with an endorsement in Health & PE.

Minimum Starting Salary*:

B.S. $45,999.88

M.S $48,207.97

*(The compensation used in this posting is for the current 2019-20 school year. The 2020-21 annual salary may see an adjustment in this amount following raises or step increases provided in the HCPS school budget to be approved later this Spring.)
