Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION
  • Ability to work in a high volume caller center under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Able to multi-task and route calls to the appropriate team member.
  • Possesses outstanding communication skills with the ability to interact with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, clinical support, administrators, etc.
  • Assists with internal and external outbound calls to referring and accepting facilities, providers and nurses.
  • Proficient computer and keyboarding skills required.
  • Assists callers with navigation throughout the health system.
  • Provides registration (classes, screenings, events, etc.) and process payments as required.
  • Provides assistance to all callers regarding Ballad Health MyChart patient portal log in to view appointments, results, on line bill payments, etc.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Education: Minimum high school graduate. Associate degree preferred. Medical terminology and knowledge of electronic medical records preferred.
  • CPR is required.
