Job Title: Revenue Cycle Data Analyst
Reports to: Director, Revenue Cycle Performance

Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role by providing analytical support for the Revenue Cycle Management department. The analyst is responsible for the analytical review, modeling, and reporting on revenue-related items such as payer mix, service mix, monthly trending analysis, and volume-related reporting. This position reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle Performance.

Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities

Functional Category: Data Analysis and Database Development
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis related to the diagnosis and treatment of infertility for the management team in the area of Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Create dashboards and reports that provide insights and value to Senior Leadership and all levels of the organization.
  • Expand end-user ability to perform ad-hoc reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and present revenue analytics in the area of medical claim-related information.
  • Monitor network-wide revenue cycle performance, including volume analyses, over and underpayments, denials, etc.
  • Calculate and report on payer mix and contractual adjustments.
  • Expand the availability and integrity of revenue-related data.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in the creation and use of dashboards/data visualization (e.g., Tableau/PowerBI).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL.
  • Self-starter with exceptional time-management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work appropriately with highly confidential data, including Protected Health Information (PHI).

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Required Work Experience and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience focused on data visualization and data analysis.
  • Experience with medical and claims data.
  • Advanced level Excel skills, including complex formulas and data visualization.
  • Prior experience with HIPAA data and policies.
  • Strong experience with SQL, including Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and analytic functions.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SSRS.
  • Proven ability to understand business needs and translate them into data structures, reports, and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.
