The Healthcare Surveyor - Advanced/Surveyor Reviewer Advanced will:

• Be responsible for reviewing all surveyor reports and finding for licensed and certified healthcare facility surveys.

How does it get done?

The Healthcare Surveyor - Advanced/Surveyor Reviewer Advanced is responsible for:

• Ensuring deficiencies and citations are written according to Federal guidelines, that the correct State and/or Federal regulations are cited;
• Ensuring deficiencies and citations have the necessary supporting documentation and/ or evidence;
• Providing training and guidance to healthcare surveyors on writing deficiencies both verbally and written.

• Healthcare Surveyors/Supervisors
• Nursing Home Providers
• New Mexico Residents receiving healthcare services

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Architecture, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Rehabilitation and /or Criminal Justice and two (2) years of experience in community based healthcare services and case management. • Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.

• If Minimum Qualification requires a specific number of "semester hours" in a field (e.g. 6 semester hours in Accounting), applicants MUST have those semester hours in order to meet the minimum qualifications. No substitutions apply for semester hours.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions

Office setting, attending meetings, extensive computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
