Responsibilities

  • Communicate with users over the phone, email, in person, and remotely to resolve their technical issues and advise on the effective and efficient application of different technologies.
  • Provide desktop support for Windows and Apple devices.
  • Troubleshoot computer hardware issues.
  • Perform peripherals installation and troubleshooting.
  • Install software and troubleshoot any related issues.
  • Assist in inventory of all technical equipment.
  • Assist with technical support during midterms and final exams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent and one year experience in customer support/IT.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills with users of diverse technical backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Self-motivated, able to work within a project-based and team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with an ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, reliable, and punctual.
  • Ability to follow documentation of IT processes and functions.
  • Experience with computer setup, installation, and upgrades.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365.
  • Customer service experience.

This is an OPS/temporary job.

Based on the duties, this position may require completion of a criminal history background check .

This position works in the office between 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule with the occasional need for after-hours class or event support. Applicants will be considered for part-time (20-30 hours).
