HIM Operations Coordinator

Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Ensuring established operational quality and performance standards are maintained at all times by employees within HIM Services and that HIM functions are consistent/standard across the system in accordance with established business objectives and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of experience in health information management in an acute care setting.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year experience in a leadership role or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management preferred.. Prior experience using Epic version 2010 or greater preferred. Prior experience with electronic document management systems preferred.. Extensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state and federal laws regarding release of information preferred.
