Position: HIM Technician (Contract)
Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49048

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of health information management (HIM) tasks, including chart assembly, analysis, and data entry.
• Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Retrieve and process medical records requests from healthcare providers, patients, and authorized parties.
• Perform quality checks on medical records for completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Recent Administrative or Clerical experience is required
• Previous experience in a HIM role, preferably in a healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

8am-4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00
