The Hospice QA Nurse is primarily responsible for monitoring staff processes and polices to ensure compliance with standards of care.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Clinical Staff Documentation

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance of all skilled nursing documentation to include SOC, ROC, RECERT AND DC; CNA notes, Plan of Cares, Orders, Chaplain notes, and social worker notes
  • Conduct historical and routine audits
  • Quality Assurance of all Therapies
  • Monitoring and completion of all reports needed for QAPI
  • Attend routine QAPI meetings
  • Monitor and Maintain Hospital logs and communicate with team
  • Fax any and all documentation needed to coordinate care for patients.
  • Monitor all tracking logs. (Infection Control, On-Call, Complaints, Incident reports)
  • Prepare, send out and follow up on past due report.
  • Assist with ADR denials

Required Skills
  • QA Experience in Hospice
  • Microsoft Office
  • Matrix EMR experience ideal
  • Must have strong work ethic, self-paced role with deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Organizational Skills
  • Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licensure)
  • Have a valid RN License in the State of Kansas

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs.

Salary: negotiable based on experience

Schedule:
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday: 8am-5pm
