Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is the primary contact for company leaders and serves as a consultant in all areas of Human Resources. The HRBP is responsible for cultivating positive partnerships between HR and company leaders and developing integrated solutions.

Responsibilities include:
1. Supports CommonSpirit Health at Home's mission to make the healing presence of God known in our
world by improving the health of the people we serve, especially those who are vulnerable, while we
advance social justice for all. Our mission aligns and supports with that of our parent health system;
supports CommonSpirit Health and CommonSpirit Health at Home's values, strategic goals and high
standards of customer service; consistently lives People First Behaviors; and follows the policies and
procedures of the organization.
2. Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program, including confidentiality of HIPAA protected health
information. Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
3. Consults with company leaders to provide HR guidance in alignment with company policies, best
practices and federal and state law to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and
to build retention among employees.
4. Provides day to day performance management guidance to employees and company leaders through
coaching, counseling, career development, training and disciplinary actions.
5. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective
investigations. Requests and reviews all performance counseling documentation to ensure compliance
with organization policies and best practices.
6. Analyzes trends to develop solutions, programs and policies. Identifies training needs for business
units; develops and conducts training as needed; evaluates and monitors the success of training programs.

7. Monitors mandatory education completion by partnering with management to issue reminders,
suspensions and terminations.
8. Works with leaders and Talent Acquisition team to develop recruitment strategies and programs to
attract candidates.
9. Partners with company leaders to complete all subpoena requests successfully and timely.
10. Works closely with the company leaders, the Compensation Center of Excellence (COE), and the HRIS
team on the development of new or updated positions and job descriptions needed within the
organization.
11. Creates and interprets organizational policies in alignment with the mission and vision of the
organization.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field.
    Equivalent experience may be considered; four years of progressive
    HR experience where the skills and abilities needed to perform this
    job have been demonstrated.
  • Four years human resources experience with knowledge of multiple
    human resource disciplines including recruitment, employee
    relations, benefits, performance management, compensation and
    payroll practices, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Ability to effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies
    to address competitive, complex business issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent consulting, client management and business literacy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills; ability
    to develop partnerships.
  • Flexible and available to positively interact with employees at all
    levels, providing a high level of internal customer service.
  • Self-directed and motivated.

Preferred:
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM Senior Certified Professional
    (SHRM-SCP).
  • Relevant industry experience is a plus.
