About the team
As a Category Business Partner within the Shop Tab Operations team, you will ultimately be responsible for delivery of key Shop Tab customer experience and revenue growth objectives. To do so, you will work closely with both industry teams and growth teams to set product acquisition and sales targets, define and execute industry and channel-specific strategies, and collaborate with a variety of cross-functional roles to drive the business forward. In your day-to-day, you can expect to work on optimizing onsite merchandising, identifying and prioritizing key inventory, streamlining internal processes for more efficient operations, and developing effective promotional campaigns and strategies. This is a highly dynamic role demanding excellent communication skills, deep strategic thinking, and collaborates well with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate combines a strategic background with expertise in one or more retail categories and understands the dynamics of two-sided online marketplaces.

Responsibilities:
- Own industry category relationship(s) as a Category Business Partner with the responsibility to support in setting and driving supply-side acquisition and sales targets.
- Product, brand, inventory selection and prioritization. Build category-specific assortment plan optimizing against pricing, selection, brand diversity to maximize GMV and customer experience. Stay up-to-date with industry and competitor movements.
- Channel, traffic, promotion strategy and optimization. Partner with platform, growth, and demand side product and operations teams to design growth initiatives that drive consideration, engagement, and consideration for the category.
- Partner closely with the product team to translate merchant, partner, and internal user feedback into new features. Actively lead or collaborate in all steps, including development of BRDs, feature ideation, user research, AB testing, and post-launch iteration with the objective of delivering a best-in-class experience.
- Participate and contribute to the development of special projects that will drive overall Shop Tab objectives on customer and seller experience and revenue
- Be the bridge between industry and platform teams and bring clarity and excitement to our larger E-Commerce team!

Qualifications

- BA/BS with 3-5 years experience in e-commerce platform operation and/or two-sided marketplace operation. Preferably Product Management, Strategy and Planning, or Management Consulting experience in Retail or e-commerce.
- Track record of success defining strategies, implementing operation plans, and leading cross-functionally through influence.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills required.
- Data-driven approach to planning and decision making, with experience designing experiments and getting hands-on with data, analytics, and modeling.
- Possessing a growth mindset, willingness to work hard, and provide and receive 360 feedback to continuously grow professionally.
