Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role

As a Subject Matter Expert on the HR Business Systems team, the HR Business Systems Staff Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing General Dynamics Land Systems Human Resources systems. The person in this role will collaborate with HR leaders and stakeholders to identify system needs, implement enhancements, and ensure data integrity and accuracy. Additionally, this person will support the implementation and rollout of HR functionality across the globe. This position resides in HR Business Systems and is responsible for HR platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Jobvite, and other HR systems and tools.)
  • Identify business processes to conform to a global standard where possible to increase efficiency and improve overall user experience. To improve sustainability and maintainability, proactively formulate ideas and recommendations for system improvements.
  • Leads HR project teams to implement HR Technology efficiencies (E-Files, SIMS integration, platform module implementation, and other strategic initiatives).
  • Consistently develops solutions independently to complex problems.
  • Anticipates and interprets business needs and designs custom reports and dashboards within existing platforms using built-in solutions to support colleague/leadership requests, reports and metrics.
  • Provides day-to-day HR functional system support for assigned platforms, including system upgrades, testing new patches, testing new releases, or resolution of issues working with technical experts internally or externally.
  • Supports data imports and exports for HR platforms and assists with security and role-based permission administration.
  • Maintains data integrity to enable accurate data generation for internal or external audits. This includes regularly auditing data for accuracy and completeness and working with the broader HR team for correction as needed.
  • Ensure users have the knowledge and guidance to do their work in an accurate, efficient and streamlined manner. Trains system users, documents and maintains user procedures on functionalities and new features across all HR platforms.
  • Compiles or assists with acquisition of complex data reports and summaries for leadership and HR staff
  • Daily collaboration with the IT designated HR support team to solve problems, create solutions, and transition technical support to Enterprise-Grade HR Application infrastructure.
  • Act as a conduit between IT support team and HR to ensure database security, integrity, stability and system platform availability.
  • Collaborate across IT and HR to develop HR Business Systems roadmaps.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications Sought
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology / Systems, or related field required.
  • Previous functional experience working with varied HR platforms in a global organization in an HRIS Technology capacity (SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, Jobvite). Professional certifications from HR platforms preferred.
  • 5 + years experience in a similar function
  • Experienced HR professional that can ensure system alignment with policies, procedures, organizational needs and goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, PowerBI)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to collaborate with users across the organization with varying skill levels.
  • Strong HR acumen, including problem-solving, critical thinking, and willingness to take initiative.
  • Able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient in working on and prioritizing multiple projects concurrently while working cross functionally to consistently meet deadlines with high quality work.
  • Must handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Must be available to occasionally work weekends, holidays and overtime as dictated by the needs of the business.
