For approximately six months, the Human Resources Co-op will obtain practical business knowledge while applying what is learned in the classroom. During this time, the Co- op Student will support the Human Resource team in various areas. The Co-op will be responsible for the following: • Promote a work environment conducive to high employee morale and a team environment • Maintaining an organized work area • Work both independently and as a team member • Promote safety by enforcing company rules and following best practices • Produce internal communications (memos, announcements, newsletters, etc.) • Manage uniform services and employee review documents • Manage new hire packets for new employees and compile employee file folders post hire • Facilitate weekly new hire orientations • Maintain employee records accurately • Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents • Assist with Open Enrollment by helping employees navigate the benefits enrollment portal • Assist with HR Audits • Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of all projects • May be responsible for making meeting arrangements or ordering food • Maintain a satisfied level of customer service with both internal and external clients • Prioritize activities for the best interest of the team when working on joint projects • Openly share new ideas and information with other team members • Keep other team members apprised to avoid surprises and disappointed clients • Other duties as assigned IF INVITED TO INTERVIEW, WEAR CLOSED-TOE SHOES
